NIGHTSHAPES is a single-player puzzle game. The App does not require user accounts, and we do not operate a server or backend that stores your personal information. This policy covers information stored locally on your device and information that may be processed by Apple platform services and the third-party advertising SDK used in the App.
1. Information stored on your device
The App stores limited gameplay and preference information locally on your device using Apple’s local storage systems, including:
- Audio settings, such as music volume, sound effects volume, and mute state
- Reduced-motion preference
- Haptics on/off preference
- Tutorial progress
- Per-level star ratings and best scores
We do not operate a backend that receives, views, stores, sells, or shares this local gameplay data. Deleting the App removes this locally stored App data from your device.
2. Apple Game Center
If you use Apple Game Center with NIGHTSHAPES, Apple may process Game Center-related information, such as achievements, leaderboard scores, and player profile information associated with your Apple ID or Game Center account.
Game Center data is handled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can manage Game Center in iOS Settings.
We do not receive your Apple ID, password, email address, or other Apple account credentials.
3. Advertising through Google AdMob
NIGHTSHAPES displays ads served by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising SDK.
Depending on your device settings, region, consent choices, and Google’s advertising systems, AdMob may collect or process information such as:
- Advertising identifiers, including Apple’s IDFA if you grant permission through App Tracking Transparency
- IP address, which may be used to estimate general location
- Ad interaction information, such as impressions, clicks, ad requests, and fills
- Device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, and related technical signals
- Diagnostics information, such as non-user-related crash logs used to improve SDK performance
If the App requests permission to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies, iOS will show Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. You may choose whether to allow tracking.
You can change tracking permissions at any time in: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → NIGHTSHAPES.
If you choose not to allow tracking, AdMob may still serve ads, but those ads should not use your IDFA for cross-app tracking.

4. Children’s privacy
NIGHTSHAPES is rated 9+ on the App Store and is not intended to be directed primarily to children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own systems. The App does not include accounts, user profiles, chat, direct messaging, or a backend operated by us.
Because the App uses Google AdMob, advertising-related information may be processed by Google as described above. Where required by law or platform policy, we may configure ad settings such as child-directed treatment, age-related treatment, or maximum ad content rating.

5. Your choices and rights
You can control or limit data use in the following ways:
- Local App data: Delete the App from your device to remove locally stored settings and progress.
- Game Center: Manage Game Center through iOS Settings or your Apple ID settings.
- Tracking permission: Manage App Tracking Transparency permissions through iOS Settings.
- Apple advertising settings: Manage Apple advertising settings through iOS Settings.
- Google advertising controls: Use Google’s privacy and advertising controls where available.
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal information. Because we do not operate accounts or a backend for NIGHTSHAPES, many requests may need to be handled directly through Apple or Google. If you contact us, we will help facilitate your request to the extent we are able.
6. Data we do not collect through our own systems
NIGHTSHAPES does not collect the following through any backend operated by us:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Mailing address
- Precise location
- Photos
- Microphone recordings
- Camera data
- Contacts
- Calendar data
- Health data
- User-generated messages or chat content
The App does not integrate Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar first-party analytics tools operated by us.
7. Changes to this policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and publish the updated version at the location where this policy is made available.
Your continued use of the App after an updated policy is published means you accept the updated policy, where permitted by law.
